What does DDP mean and what does it include?
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is an Incoterms 2020 trade term meaning the seller is responsible for all costs and risks until the goods are delivered to the buyer's named place. This includes: export packaging, export customs clearance, origin freight to port, ocean/air freight, destination customs clearance, import duties and taxes, and delivery to the buyer's named address. The buyer has only one cost: the agreed DDP price.
How do you calculate import duties for DDP cable orders?
Import duty rates depend on the HS tariff code of the cable, the destination country, and any applicable trade agreements or additional tariffs. For US imports, most industrial cable falls under HS 8544.xx with statutory rates of 0–5.3%, plus Section 301 tariffs of 7.5–25% for China-origin goods. We research the applicable duty rates for your country and cable type, and include the actual duty cost in your DDP price — no surprises on delivery.
How long does DDP delivery take from China to the USA/Europe?
Sea freight: West Coast USA 14–18 days; East Coast USA 22–28 days; Europe 25–35 days; Australia 18–24 days. Air express (DHL/FedEx): any destination 3–5 business days, significantly higher cost. For urgent orders, we can split ship: air freight a small urgent portion and sea freight the balance.
Can you handle large reel shipments?
Yes. We regularly ship standard 20' containers (≈25 reels) and 40' containers (≈55 reels) as well as LCL (less than container load) for smaller orders. Reels are wood-crated or steel-banded on pallets per ISPM 15 phytosanitary requirements. Reel dimensions and weights are provided in advance for your warehouse planning.
